Ten of Coins
Three generations can be seen here at the city gate, an archway into a wonderful heritage, perhaps an ancestral home or perhaps a longed-for homeland.
In the closest foreground sits the representative of oldest generation, draped in rich designs, surrounded by fruitful vines, heralded by seals and signets, and attended by faithful dogs. Passing under the arch as though into a happy inheritance, a richly clad woman smiles upon her man who looks ahead with staff in hand. Furthest back, a young child takes part in the happy scene. The parent's blessings pass on the children from generation to generation.
Seeds of blessing have been sown so that the future generations can partake in the wisdom and prosperity of the LORD, just as in the parable of Jesus the sower sowed the seed, which grew day and night although the sower knew not how.
I will tell the next generation of the wonderful works of the LORD, just as the singer of Psalm 78 declares.
Abraham blessed Isaac, and Isaac blessed his 12 sons as the blessing passed on to the 12 tribes. At the same time, Abraham was the father of many nations and through him the nations of the world would be blessed.
The LORD told Isaiah in his vision, "Ask of me and I will give the nations as an inheritance for you."
