Eight of Cups
Sometimes we may feel disillusioned when it's time to move on. Dissatisfaction can prompt us to change, just as this traveler has set out with cloak on back and staff in hand, leaving the old cups behind.
By the waters of Babylon we wept and hung our harps on the willows as we remembered Zion. Our captors demanded we sing the songs of Zion. But how can we sing the songs of Zion in this foreign land?
In the wilderness, whenever the cloud of the presence of the LORD lifted, the Israelites knew it was time to continue their journey to the Promised Land.
When I was a child, I thought as a child and I spoke as a child. When I grew up, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see dimly as a reflection in a dark mirror, but then we will see face to face. When we leave this realm, we will trade these signs and wonders for bright truth and move on to ever-increasing glory.
The LORD will make a way for you and prepare a camp for you.
A new day is dawning, and he has prepared a place for you.
